Home Remedies for Removal of Black Heads

Though the blackheads might be tiny, but for sure, they are extremely stubborn. You can do all the squeezing, prodding or poking, they tend to return. Trying out all the creams and gels and lotions does not seem to work.

These small bumps on the hair follicles can turn a beautiful face into an ‘ugly’ one. You find blackheads, most of the time, in the nose and the chin area. These are not caused by dirt but this is the building up of sebum which clogs the hair follicles. So all that scrubbing of your face to remove these blackheads is not going to work, you will only dry your skin further. What you need is to try using natural and home remedies for tackling blackheads.

  1. Water and Baking Soda Mask for Blackheads:

Baking soda is one of the oldest home remedy used for removing blackheads. The small granules of this soda can exfoliate your skin in the perfect manner and can remove the clogging of the pores.

*Make a thick paste with water and baking soda. Massage this paste on your face for around five minutes in a circular motion. You can rinse this off with water only after it has dried for another five minutes. Make sure you apply a moisturizer as baking soda can make your skin a little dry.

  1. Milk and Honey for Blackheads:

As compared to all those salon treatment for blackheads, it is safer to use a mix of honey and milk. This is not only safe but can also save some of your hard-earned money. As known, honey and milk are known to have properties which are antibacterial and can not only cleanse your skin well but also moisturize your skin from within. Mix 1 tablespoon of honey with 3 tablespoons of milk. Put this mixture in the microwave for around 5 minutes. Apply this mixture on your face only after it has cooled. Rinse this off only after it has dried.

  1. Using Lemon for Blackheads:

Blackheads are normally due to clogged pores. You can get rid of these by shrinking your pores. Lemon juice is perfect for this. For sensitive skin you need to dilute the lemon juice with a little water.

*Wash and dry your face. Dampen a cotton ball with lemon juice. This needs to be applied 2 to 3 times in a week to the affected area in the night. Wash your face with lukewarm water when you get up in the morning and use a natural moisturizer.

  1. Cinnamon and Honey for Blackheads:

Honey and cinnamon work like magic when you use it for the removal of blackheads. Honey can fight the acne due to the antibacterial properties and the blood circulation is improved with cinnamon.

*Mix 1 part of honey with the equal amount of cinnamon. Apply this on your face for around 30 minutes and then rinse.
