Benefits of using Reetha for Hair


Healthy and shiny hair is what most of us desire but this is not possible always with the use of chemical laden shampoos and conditioners. Using natural products not only for your hair but also for your skin is anytime a better choice. This is not only cost-effective but is definitely safer. Reetha is a medicinal herb in Ayurveda which offers multiple benefits to the hair. This has been used as one of the components in many shampoos and soaps.

Here are some ways you can use Reetha for your hair.

  1. Reetha and Amla for Hair:

Mixing Amla with Reetha is all that you need for healthy and strong hair. With the presence of Vitamin C in Amla your hair is able to retain its original color, get more strength and also an increase in the shine.

Soak reetha powder in water for around 2 hours. After the water is absorbed add some amla to the mix. Keep this mixture on your scalp for around 10 minutes. This needs to be washed off with cold water.

  1. Shikakai and Reetha for Hair Fall:

Shikakai and reetha work well for hair cleansing. Reetha works well as a conditioner when it is mixed with shikakai.

Add shikakai and reetha to a pan which has boiled water. Let this mixture boil for around 10 minutes. This concoction needs to be applied to damp hair from the tips to the roots. This can be washed off after 2 to 3 minutes. This works as one of the best natural remedies for hair fall.

  1. Reetha and Lemon for Hair:

Combine lemon with reetha powder for protecting your skull from different bacteria and fungi. This is apt for keeping the scalp healthy.

Soak reetha powder in water for around 2 hours and mix 2 tablespoons of lemon in this. This needs to be applied to your scalp. You can wash this off after around 10 minutes.

You need to ensure you use reetha of good quality and not make any compromises on this. You need to throw away reetha which is not used for more than 72 hours.
